......going to the Headache specialist tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!! Been waiting months upon months for this appt. Its and hour and a half away and at the best hospital in New Hampshire. They called me last week to get my info and informed me I might be admitted, so FYI incase I am MIA for a few days that's where I'll be. Wish me luck!

Lets see a chokehold and hostages, this doesn't soundlike a docs appt ;) lol. Thanks for the vibes and good luck wishes. Sam said he'll keep u guys updated if I get admitted. If not I'll let you all know how it went when I get home.

Well I'm home and I am very very happy. The doc was great. Told me it's def clusters (well duh I knew that lol) and its theworst pain out there (and duh to that too ;;D ) Then put me on a 10 day Prednisone taper. Verapamil, Zomig nasal spray, and OXYGEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Said if those meds don't work he has more ideas and to call him if I need to. I am just on cloud nine.......maybe a light at the end of this pain tunnel! Sam is so happy today too, our lives have been disrupted since June, can't wait to be "normal" again. I am very optimistic bout these meds and the O2!

Shoot!!! Sorry I missed it before you went!!! I was going to lecture you (again) about thinking like they were treating lil Sammy, not you!!! That way they would listen to you!!! Nothing like a MOM getting treatment for her baby!!!!

SO glad you got some good ammo now!!! Now GET THEM FILLED!!! And become a sucker like the rest of us!!! SUCK THAT O2!!!!

That's great........the Prednisone worked for me, so far.

Hope the combo of meds does the trick, sweetie!

Thanks everyone. Yeah it does feel great to see a doc that actually knows what he's talking about and didn't try to tell me it's migraines (got those too so I KNOW the difference)

Just got home from picking up my O2 and my insurance covered it COMPLETELY!!! The only issue I'm having is the Verapamil the dosage the doc prescribed none of the pharmacies carry it, so I have to call my pharmacy back and see if they can special order it. Other than that I'm happy. Fingers crossed that this "cocktail" works!
