Title: Looking for home in Florida Post by Luciano on Jan 10th, 2004, 12:37pm Dear friends, is there anyone from Florida that can help me to find home for 2/3 months in Daytona Beach? I planned to go there in March '04 for studing at the Flight School, I'm going to get the private pilot licence. I'm looking for a simple house (possibly cheep) and also some advices about how to get a O2 tank in the U.S. (hoping to be pain free in that period!) It would be fantastic to meet some clusterhead there!!! Thanks for help! Luciano. |

Title: Re: Looking for home in Florida Post by Little Deb on Jan 10th, 2004, 12:42pm Yea. No terrorists are ever allowed to learn to fly in Florida!! Also. You are not allowed to have CH while flying. It is injurious to your health and those BELOW you!! LD |

Hey there Lucky. Cheap housing? Now if you were coming to Boston I could show you a nice little refridgerator box with an attached lawn mower box with easy highway access. In fact it's right under the highway. Wont cost much more than 80% of your annual income and you can watch the planes from Logan go right over your house. |

Title: Re: Looking for home in Florida Post by captdshea on Jan 10th, 2004, 3:14pm Luciano, I don't live in Florida,But I have friends in Daytona I visit often, My next visit will be April, 04 March is a very bad time to be looking for a place in Daytona,it is very busy and allways costly. the towns and communitys close by would be better to look at. There are many flats you can rent. I'll make some contacts and mail you. No woories, all Italians are welcome. David |

That's true, I never fly alone anyway... just in case... :o I already fly in Italy on experimental planes (very little) ALWAYS with a copilot and I never had a CH attak while flying. Also I avoid to fly while I'm in a cluster (fortunately i'm episodic.. so far..). Flying is THE DREAM I had since I was a child, I thought a lot, but I reached the convintion that I won't never limit myself and my dreams only because I'm a CHer.,... just keep this little secret, ok? :P ;) I promise you I'll be responable of my actions. ;) |

Title: Re: Looking for home in Florida Post by floridian on Jan 13th, 2004, 1:10pm Luciano, did you check your messages? I sent you one a while back. One place to consider is Palm Coast - new houses in Palm start renting for $650 and up. The downside is you would need a car (20-30 minute drive to Daytona airport). But you might need a car anyway - we are talking about the US, after all. Public transportation is not our strong point, and is not economic given all the people with cars, good roads, etc. Also, check out the "classified" ad section of the Daytona paper: http://www.news-journalonline.com/ |
