I'm having some computer problems ... My Outlook program is screwed...I changed my e-mail address in my profile and it logged me out and sent a new password to my other account. BUT .. I forgot I had that account set up NOT to recieve e-mails from anyone who wasn't on my list.
IN OTHER WORDS ... I DON'T HAVE MY NEW PASSWORD...I CAN'T LOG IN...

So if I get this right, you changed your email account, and your email service mailed you a new password, only you can't receive that email?

You will have to either call them on the phone and ask for the password, or change your Outlook settings to receive email from everybody (and then go to their website and click "forgot password").

It would solve his messed up Outlook problem. I have to fix my wife's once a month so I know what a pain it can be.

Closer reading shows that it is just a setting problem and after fixing he just needs to email DJ to get the password straightend out.

by the way lighten up Grant;;D

Frank

As I understand it, the email address he changed was here (at ch.com).  ch.com then replies with a new password to the original email address.  Since his original email address was set up to not receive email from anyone not on his list, it refuse the email from ch.com with his new password.

If the above is correct, I don't see it as a "computer problem" or a matter of his "Outlook program is screwed".  It is simply a case of "user error".

Other than to "guard" against spam, I'm not sure why anyone would set up their email account to not receive email from anyone who is not on their list.

In your comment "Lighten up", I have no idea why you think I'd be pissed.

I do find it funny however that you seem to blame Microsoft for everything from terrorism to the bubonic plague.

Your right Grant,
It looks like a case of operator malfuntion, not a software glitch. I guess my Ch induced brain deadness read it wrong, but it should have said I screwed up outlook rather than outlook is screwed LOL

Unsolved,
Don't get upset that it was your falt, it is easy to do. That's why I sugested a program that is easier to use, Mozilla even has a built in spam killer for email and a popup killer for the web. I have trouble getting outlook to do anything. Outlook express is a little easier to use but I heard M$ will no longer be supporting it soon.
