Title: Truth Stranger Than Fiction Post by maokitty on Apr 20th, 2004, 8:09pm My supervisor at work told me she knows how I feel when I get a ch. "Yes I understand, I get awful tension headaches also". Now tell me you are not all rolling around on the floor from this one!!!!! What makes it classically funny is that it is true! |

Title: Re: Truth Stranger Than Fiction Post by ExplodingEyeBall on Apr 30th, 2004, 11:32am I'm wondering if it's legal to strangle people when they say this kind of stuff. It's hard to control myself when I'm actually having a CH and somebody tells me something like this. I could say that I understand the pain of giving birth (I don't. I'm a dude.) and it would mean just as much as your boss saying she understands the feeling of a CH. There is no comparison between Tension HAs and Cluster HAs. I have suffered many a tension headache from long nights of playing guitar or drums and I would happily have 100 tension HAs a day as opposed to 1 Cluster HA. Next time she says something like that, catch the end of a pencil on fire then stick it into her eye. After this, she will REALLY understand the pain of a CH.... I guess that might cause some problems at work. You may consider trying to get her to visit this message board and read through some of the messages here to get a real understanding about CHs. Print up a copy of this reply and show it to her if you think you can get away with it. The problem is that most people are very uneducated on CHs and they don't have any clue of what clusterheads go through. I don't think that they are purposely being rude or trying to downplay what you are going through. They are just trying to be sympathetic and help. Unfortunately, this kind of phrase Quote:
Well, PFDAN to you!!!! Pat |
