Title: Teenagers Post by AlienSpaceBabe on Mar 24th, 2002, 8:52pm A teenager is someone who can eat his heart out without affecting his appetite Dialogue between teenager and parent: "I'm off to the party." "Well, have a good time." "Look, Pop, don't tell me what to do." If you live in a house full of teenagers, it is not necessary to ask for whom the bell tolls. It's not for you. Dad: Did you use the car last night? Son: Yes, Dad. I took some of the boys for a ride. Dad: Well, tell them I found two of their lipsticks. I know a teenage girl who had been trying to run away from home for a year but every time she gets to the front door the phone rings. Man to friend: by the time I found out my father was right, my son was old enough to disagree with me. Office to man pacing sidewalk at 3 a.m.: What are you doing here? Gentleman: I forgot my key, Officer, and I'm waiting for my children to come home and let me in. Adolescence is a period of rapid changes. Between the ages of twelve and seventeen, for example, a child may see his parents age twenty years. A message for all parents: Is your teenage son or daughter out for the evening? If so, take advantage of the opportunity. Pack your furrrniture, call a moving van, and don't leave a forwarding address. Teenagers are people you pay an allowance to for the priviledge of living with them. Why can't life's problems hit us when we're eighteen and know everything? God is very providential. He gives us twelve years to develop a love for our children before turning them into teenagers. The best substitute for experience is being sixteen. Oh, to be only half as wonderful as my child thought I was. And only half as stupid as my teenager thinks I am. |
