Title: Preventive Med Decrease in Intensity of CH Post by allan_r on Dec 2nd, 2004, 7:38am Has anyone experienced the following: I have chronic CH. Have just upped Topomax (third preventive) to 200 mg. it has lessened the intensity of the headaches, down to almost nothing. However, last night, on schedule, the headache came- but was not reduced in intensity - just in location. It was reduced merely to a focused eyeache- on half the eye. No surrounding pain in the rest of the head. I had visions of mad scientists closing the apeture of the pain lens and focusing it the inside half of my eye for the hour or so it lasted. Not as bad as having half the head in full blown pain, mind you, but painful nonetheless. Has any one had this experience with any preventive medications? allan r. |

I've usually had the most concentration of disabling pain located at my temple. Working up the verap lately, the ones now that require a trex and O2 because of extreme intensity are presently eye concentrated, pretty much the whole eye though. Temple pain still, but location of most intensity seems to be the eye as of late. I'm sure either location is an available target for it to choose from and it will be utilizing both, as it wishes.
