The HA's are pilin' up again. Date Pain Level Abortive Duration 10/21 1 Kip8 Imitrex inj. 4mg 15 min. 10/28 1 Kip8 Imitrex inj. 4mg 15 min. 10/30 1 Kip8 Imitrex inj. 4mg 15 min. 10/30 1 Kip8 Imitrex inj. 4mg 20 min. 10/31 1 Kip8 Imitrex inj. 4mg 15 min. PS. Dr. Diamond spoke of an article written by Dr. Todd Rozen about me (Doesn't name me specifically). She is going to send me a link. It was about trying a drug called Cell Cept, a drug used for the prevention of organ rejection after heart or liver transplants. It's supposed to be like a steriod, but without all the main side effects. Anyone seen it ?? :-/ Getting hammered again :-/ UNsolved |

Title: Re: Histamine Drip only offers temp. relief Post by don on Oct 31st, 2004, 7:36pm That sucks! Reinforces my opinion of the Diamond Headache Clinic. If it's any consolation I have heard referances to a drug called Cell Cept being used for clusters. |

Title: Re: Histamine Drip only offers temp. relief Post by E-Double on Oct 31st, 2004, 10:03pm I have a fromer colleague who has MS and is taking this...... Have read here as well as other medical sites about certain hypothesis regarding a connection with MS and Migraine so.... those who think there is that connection and believe there is a connection with migraine and CH may try Cellcept for it as well. I just hope you get relief!!!!!! whatever you do. Well wishes, E. |

Title: Re: Histamine Drip only offers temp. relief Post by unsolved1 on Nov 1st, 2004, 7:51am No, I was misunderstood. I already tried the Cell Cept. I have mixed feelings about it. It may have helped to keep the number of HA's down, but it was no cure. I did it for 13 weeks. Dr. Todd Rozen put me on it. Going to my local neuro today and I'm going to bring up the alternative methods again today. There was another lady at the Diamond clinic with clusters that said Histamine always worked for her and she's been coming back for years. (At the onset of her cycle) Unsolved |

Title: Re: Histamine Drip only offers temp. relief Post by Kevin_M on Nov 1st, 2004, 8:30am I don't know Mike. I'd hope for the amount of money spent they would provide some follow-up to maintain your treatment's effectiveness, rather than just wash their hands of you as you hit the door. I mean for all that money, it seems they would want to warrantee their work somewhat, if they really thought it was worth what they ask for it. Hell Mike, going to the Nashville convention almost worked as well for you as Diamond did, you were pf for days afterward. I hate to see you get into the same circle of rebound with the trex, maybe if oxygen can be given another try now that you are sort of starting over again. :( best to you Mike. Kevin M |
