Title: blood noses Post by chamber on Oct 28th, 2004, 1:10am I wrote a post on here a little while ago just wondering if what i had was cluster headaches, the doctor ended up confirming it and i was to go to the neurologist <-- cant spell :P but havnt yet as i cannot afford it and the MRI. Lately, well the last month or so, i have been getting riduclous amounts of blood noses, like i will wake up in the morning and have one, they sort of now dictate the days that i will get headaches, or i will wake up in the middle of the night and have one, or wake up and have blood all over my pillow. They come in the daytime too. on average maybe 2 a day? Just wondering if anyone else gets blood noses from this aswell, if its "normal" or not? Havnt been to the doctors cause they dont really care about much, apart from getting their money.. And my mums friend, whos apparently a psyhic, well she does it for a living and has alot of clients so i suppose she is, has been having these visions of me being really sick with headaches but the headaches are really just a symptom of something worse, and mum never told her about my headaches. So while it may not even be true, it still freaked me out, especially with getting the blood noses recently. So after all that useless information, jsut wanted to know does anyone else get blood noses with their headaches? So i can stop freaking out lol |

Title: Re: blood noses Post by BobG on Oct 28th, 2004, 1:23am I have never heard of anything like you describe being connected with clusterheadaches. But maybe someone else can jump in here with a better answer. IMHO, please get the MRI as soon as possible. And please find an Ear-Nose-Throat specialist as soon as possible. |

Title: Re: blood noses Post by unsolved1 on Oct 28th, 2004, 2:17am I used to get bloody noses all the time as a kid. They stopped before the CH started. Connection? Doubt it. Unsolved |

Title: Re: blood noses Post by Gator on Oct 28th, 2004, 3:06am No bloody noses here. I never got bloody noses as a kid, either. Well, except for the odd fight. Boys will be boys! Bloody noses is one symptom, I've never heard of in connection with CH. I'd step up the timetable on the neuro and the MRI. Gator |

Title: Re: blood noses Post by Valerie on Oct 28th, 2004, 1:23pm I got bloody noses all the time as a kid - it drove me crazy. I've actually had a couple of very mild bloody noses with this cycle, but I don't usually - I don't know if it is connected with CH, meds, or what. I've had an MRI and it was fine, but it sounds like your nosebleeds are occuring more often - please get yourself checked. I'm sure you are fine but it's better safe than sorry. Hugs, Valerie |

Title: Re: blood noses Post by Bethany1 on Oct 29th, 2004, 10:33am When I was a kid, I got bloody noses constantly. I had my nose coterized (sp) 13 times. There was no pain with them, just annoying more than anything. Everyone used to call me bloody nose Beth. I didnt care tho, screw them, I was the one that got out of taking tests and got dismissed all the time. They were all just jealous. |
