I have never heard of anything like this before. To me it doesn't sound like being cluster connected. But I could be wrong.
Sounds more like something he should be seeing his doctor about.

Sorry, I never felt anything cold, alway warmth spreading in the area at the end of a headache. This is new to me. He needs to talk to his MD. May be something else. Good luck and let us know.

I never felt cold either, usually a "dry sweat" kinda feeling of heat during.

I always get a shiver as soon as the CH stops.  However, it has nothing to do with being cold just a shiver of pleasure and relaxation.
