Title: Relief at last
Post by ArCane on Aug 25th, 2004, 2:10pm
Im just now getting over a 2 hr CH.  Im at school, which is 20 miles away from home, and had no imitrex or O2 to abort it.  I had to skip a class because of it.  I want to do good in college but these bastards are making it tough.  Im 3 weeks into my cycle.  I hope the end is near.  It would be nice to get some sleep and studying done for a change.  Thanks for letting me vent.

Talk to your instructors if it becomes to much of a problem, they might actually understand. ;;D

Vent away my friend, that's what we're here for!

When I'm in cycle, I usually bring some Trex with me whever I go.  I work 45 minutes away from home.  Definately know what it's like to be stuck without-OUCH!

Good Idea mj!  Might suggest also printing out the CH description from the left.

Definitely educate your professors! could help and all you can do is try my friend.
Things will work out.
Get extra help, speak to a counsellor or someone to help with the stress or anxiety and if you haven't, try melatonin. Helps many of us ward off the night time visits so we can at least sleep.
I take 6- 9 mg. about 1/2 hour before lying down for bed. Most of the time I make it throught the night. It's been a blessing atleast giving me back the night.

Good luck and hang in there.

Eric

Most campuses also have a student clinic and the costs are covered almost 100% by your tuition.  Take the print outs from the site here to them, give them your treating physicians number, they might be able to get the meds you need in stock.  Then again they might not.  It's worth a try, and you might ask them to write something out to allow the proffs to tape lectures for you if you need to miss class.

Explain the situation to your professors.

Show them your injector.

Always sit near the door.

Always, Always, Always have the trex with you.
