Title: I need help finding coverage for O2 in ALberta Post by fun bobbi on Aug 19th, 2004, 7:14pm :o Can someone please tell me how to go about getting gov't funding for oxygen in my home? Both Dr and "air guys" are totally unfamiliar with this treatment. Gotta love Canada. I'm surprized we have electricity and running water!! [smiley=laugh.gif] |

Margi in Calgary uses another company, I believe it's Medi-Gas. Gubberment funding is another issue. We have so much electricity we send it down to California, they just don't want to pay for it. >:( And right next to my water tap is the beer keg tap! ;;D Good luck Bobbi. Doug |

Title: Re: I need help finding coverage for O2 in ALberta Post by Margi on Aug 23rd, 2004, 10:05am Hi Bobbi, sorry, can't help you with gov't funded oxygen. No such animal as far as I know. Most insurance plans will cover it though, although sometimes you have to prod them a little. Doug's right (or should I say Doug Wright's right? ;)) - we use Medigas here in Calgary - they've been awesome to deal with and, really, it's not that expensive. The description of your attacks, however....(from another thread) ... have you tried indomethacin? It sure might be worth a shot for you, just to rule out CPH. |
