Title: temple headache Post by pennywisdomage on Jul 10th, 2004, 9:46pm I have a question about a pain similar to a headache i've been experiencing. I get a sharp, short pain above my left eye right around my temple. It's like 3 pulsating pains in a row for a short time. this has been happening for about 2 months, not very often. Does anyone have any feedback at all for me?? |

Title: Re: temple headache Post by miapet on Jul 11th, 2004, 3:39am pennywisdomga, I would encourage you to go to the doctor . . .get a diagnosis, and make sure there isn't anything else going on. |

Title: Re: temple headache Post by pubgirl on Jul 11th, 2004, 4:42am Sorry Dave in nj but short, pulsating pain sounds NOTHING like CH. pennywisdomage, there are quite a few different shorter duration headache types which could fit your symptoms. The good news is that they are all very treatable. The best thing is to get a referral to a good neuro for a diagnosis, but also go to the OUCH link on your left here and have a read around the other headache types in the OUCh library. This may give you a better idea which one your symptoms may fit. Wendy |

Title: Re: temple headache Post by pennywisdomage on Jul 11th, 2004, 2:05pm Thank you for those links Steve. I read them and Paroxysms sound mostly like what I'm experiencing. And also, what I forgot to mention was that lately, well, over a few months of time that is, i feel like my eyes are gettin a little bad, but i think it may be from the computer cause I've been spending a lot of time on it lately. If anyone knows anything about how the computer might affect vision or cause headaches, pls let me know. thanks. -Maria ;;D |

Title: Re: temple headache Post by don on Jul 11th, 2004, 4:57pm Penny you need to go to a good headache specialists and get a diagnosis. If you have CH then you have found the right place. If not then lucky you. |

Title: Re: temple headache Post by UN_SOLVED on Jul 11th, 2004, 5:04pm don is right. You need to see a doctor who specializes in headaches. Get a correct diagnosis. Hope you don't have CH (which it doesn't sound like CH to me) and go from there. Best wishes, Unsolved |

Title: Re: temple headache Post by notseinfeld on Jul 12th, 2004, 3:35pm I read in an article somewhere a quote about CH that said 'it's not life threatening; at least not in the classical sense." Then it went on to indicate the high rate of suicides associated with it---I guess suicides are non-classical ;) And of course that quote is a classic! |
||
Title: Re: temple headache Post by don on Jul 12th, 2004, 4:13pm LMAO. So the logical conclusion would be that suicide is not life threatening? LOL |

Title: Re: temple headache Post by notseinfeld on Jul 12th, 2004, 4:49pm Hehehe---don--- ;;D Reminds me of also of a quote by an Arkansas coroner who was hob-nobbing w/then Gov. Clinton and after a headless body was delivered to his lab the official statement was 'died of natural causes.' Gheesh, hate to see what un-natural ones are! |
