Does anyone know if you can use melatonin and verapamil together?

I don't know if you "can" or not, but I do.  480 mg Verapamil/day and 6 mg Melatonin at bedtime.  I haven't had any bad effects that I know of.  To my knowledge, there isn't any type of interaction between the 2.  Melatonin is a natural agent that acts to inhibit REM sleep - the point when many CH sufferers have attacks.  Verap is a calcium-channel blocker and the mechanism of action is way beyond my knowledge of chemistry.

Melatonin is especially useful for people who are awakened by the demon not long after falling asleep.  It's  also useful for people (who don't suffer from CH) looking for an "all natural" sleep aid.

Don't know if this helped, but here's hoping!

Kris

Yes you CAN...

Got the word from my own specialist as she is very open to herbal treatments as long as she knows what it is to make sure of no interactions.  She told me go for it...just didn't happen to work for me.

I have done both (melatonin @9mg) and verapamil @360 with no difficulity.  I personally believe that melatonin does more than just getting you through the night demon as it comes into play with a deficiency that most clusterheads have.
