The research did highlight one difference in the brain's response to romantic and maternal love.

Only romantic love triggered heightened activity in the hypothalamus - which controls feelings of arousal.

I'm confused . . .does heightened activity mean a good thing or a bad thing?? Darn article didn't go far enough . . .

I think it means that while beating your mule may make you go blind, it will make your episode end a week or two early.
