One of the most painful things I have experienced with these CHs is having to cough in the middle of one. If I thought my head was going to explode BEFORE having to cough, it would be absolutely projectile while coughing. I try holding that side of my head. Does anybody else know this pain and have any suggestions?

Know exactly what you mean! It makes the pain rage even worse but for me it only lasts for a minute or so after the cough.
02 makes me cough as it dries me out a bit. If that is the problem, the humidifiers you can get can help.

Otherwise, don't know what you could do. Give up smoking?

Yeah I know that pain too. If you have a cold or something try a cough suppresant, if it is just an occasional cough I am sorry but just HOLD ON CAUSE ITS GONNA HURT LIKE HELL!!
