Can anyone tell me how long a shadow lasts? I feel like I've had one all day. Almost like my head is bruised from my last ch attack. Also, does anyone know the affects of mixing Imitrex pills with alcohol? I tried to drink yesterday and got attacked so I had no choice but to take a pill. I'm feeling a bit off today. Thanks.

I suppose it's possible to have a shadow that lasts most of the day.
I've drank alcohol and taken Imitrex injections, but I wouldn't recommend it. Alcohol triggers an attack for me anyways.

For me the SHADOW seems to last through the following day. It seems that when I am in a cycle and the headaches are everyday or evey other day I am in a state of almost constant SHADOW.. :(

Yeah for 19+ years the "SHADOW" always last for all the rest of the day for me during entire cycle. Sometimes ice pack can relieve a hard "brusing" shadow but not always. Stay away from alcohol for entire cycle it always triggers a most aggressive devil of an attack for me

Being chronic the last 6 years I always found myself in shadow land for 15-30 min. followed immediately by a kip 10 for 1 1/2 hrs to be repeated all day long for 16 straight hours. Thus having 8 attacks a day.
