How to get rid of these

Trojan horse Downloader.Turown.C

Trojan horse Downloader.Turown.A

I've tried

Stinger
AVG
Norton
Spybot
Trojan remover
Trend micro security
Webshredder
Adaware

AVG picks it up but does nothing with it, just fucking tells me it's there......WTF?

Add Macfee to that list.

Dunno Jonny, my AVG just found them too over the last couple days, only mine are B and C, not A and C. If you find anything, let me know... and vice versa, of course.

I've been looking over the net trying to figure out the removal and it seems rather complicated to say the least.  One thing that I can suggest is to make sure ad-aware, spybot, AVG has the latest updates and to disable the windows "restore" feature before attempting removal.  After removal then re-enable restore feature (if you're running windows XP).

Maybe a program called Hijackthis will help you out.  A google search will show you where you can get it...it's free.  Be careful with this program though.  Save the scan to a log and there are spyware/virus message boards where folks will review your log and tell you what to "fix".  If Hijackthis is not the program for you, those same folks reviewing your log will tell you what to use.  I don't know enough about the program to be able to review your log, but that should get you on the right track.  Hope that helps you some.

I have the perfect solution. Quit the Windows PC and get a Mac instead. Solved all my problems (except for my unpaid credit card bills and CH). And the mac looks much better at your desk too...  ;;D

Jonny, I'm out in the open. If I know you right, I'm about to get flamed. Bring it on...  :P

jonny,

I have my laptop wrapped in a condom.  I never get a virus.  Latex rashes maybe - but not a virus.

PC MAGAZINE, April 20 issue, has an article, "100 Best Undiscovered Web Sites", which listed this site:

PestPatrol Pest Research Center.
www.pestpatrol.com/pestinfo

"You won't find a more comprehensive resource of information about spyware, adware, Trojan horse programs...."

There are a few more sites in this section you migh look at.
