I am chronic and have not had a med free pain free existance in over 6 years of any length of time. I quit taking my meds 2 weeks ago and have been pain free since! I am so happy and grateful to God! The downside is I learned of a pain very closely related to ch in level of intensity. I had a gallbladder attack yesterday and found out I have gall stones. They want me to try to control it by diet. Yeah right. That is not going to be easy. I thought I was going to die from the pain. I have only felt that way about clusters. Prayer is the only thing holding me together right now!

Great Karla! Thats wonderful. Sorry about the gallstones. I have nEver expereInced anything as bad as CHs! For instance ,whne I broke my collar bone, and I mean I exploded it, it was nothing compared to CHS. So gall stones must be bad! Get better soon!

Seriously... I hear the gallstones are some bad, bad pain. But at least it's a pain you can treat, sort of. My mom had em and they gave her dilaudid's. :o

Karla, I am SO SO happy for you!!! :D I'm keeping everything crossed that it stays this way for good! Oh, and about the gallbladder, I had to have mine removed, because it blew up to the size of a big grapefruit. The pain was HORRIBLE! It felt like both my lungs had collapsed and I couldn't breathe. I understand your pain, believe me! Is it possible to elect to have it removed? I'm not sure how that all goes. Anyhow, enjoy your PF time!

gallstones *ugh* . . .doc is right, watch the diet . . .it should help a lot!

AWESOME NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GLad that your head is quiet. Sorry about the gall bladder though, if it's not one thing, it's another, hope it eases soon as well. :)
