Title: Re: happening again Post by ave on Feb 22nd, 2004, 4:48am Yes, renny, attacks for me ramped up and down my right side but just loved to play around in my teeth. A dull, heavy pain it is, no numbing, luckily. Have you tried all of the non-med remedies people have thought up over time? Try this http://www.clusterheadaches.org/resources/meds.htm good luck |

Title: Re: happening again Post by Janice on Feb 22nd, 2004, 7:23am Hi Karen....Funny here, but my CH's "drip down" my face into my jaw and eventually to my chin......then disappear. This may sound stupid, but give gum chewing a try. I pop a piece in my mouth and chew it really hard and fast for a couple of minutes. Seems to take some of the pressure out of my jaw.....evens stops the CH every now and then. Janice |

Title: Re: happening again Post by Belle on Feb 25th, 2004, 3:53pm I get the pain in my jaw as well and the pain intensifies when I push on my teeth. Guess that's why they are testing to see if I have TMJ as well as clusters. Maybe you should ask about that too. Just a thought Belle ::) |

Title: Re: happening again Post by jonny on Feb 25th, 2004, 4:48pm The yellow/orange nerve is the nerve that delivers CH pain...as you can see it runs right down into the upper and lower jaw...even to the teeth. Thats your pain....OWE!! http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b3db29b3127cce9799793c4e800000001610 ............................jonny |

Title: Re: happening again Post by BobG on Feb 25th, 2004, 8:45pm renny............jonny probably right about this. That nerve is close to the teeth and will feel like it is IN the teeth. Do not let the dentist start pulling teeth or doing root canals "just to see" if it will stop the pain. Many people get the pain n the jaw/teeth. |

Title: Re: happening again Post by renny on Feb 26th, 2004, 11:30am hi Bob...expect both you and jonny are right...my dentist is pretty staight-forward with me...shows me x-rays,explains it all, even sits down and figures out how we can get best of insurance co. :) Now how rare is that!!! Will pass on info from y'all....even take jonny's "chart" with me! thanx up front...Karen |
