Title: Smiling Post by OneEyeBlind on Dec 13th, 2003, 9:01pm I'm smiling today cause my Christopher is smiling with me. He had a pretty good day today. The "stem harvest" was pretty much of a failure because they could not harvest near enough for the transplant; While he was in the hospital they decided to try a new drug. He could not keep any food down and his spirits were diminished like I have never seen. They started him on Marinal 3 days ago. Since then, his appetite is back, his smile is a lot brighter, and his puking has stopped. Some of you may know what this drug is ...... I didn't at first ......... but it is mariauna (weed, grass, whatever) in pill form. It has made the biggest difference we have seen so far. While it may not be curing the cancer, it sure is making treatment a lot easier. And he smiles to boot. Can't ask for more than that. He has also received the "certificate" that Chuck put together (with lots of help I know). What can I say ...... that put a huge smile on his face. He was very honored and is hanging it in his room. They will be re-admitting him next week to attempt the "harvest" yet again. Hopefully, with his increased appetite and his spirits up, this time it will be a success. Thanks again for all the cards and stuff. The cards continue to come in and keep his spirits up. His mom has a huge display in the archay of their home displaying them proudly. I hope you guys are all as proud of yourselves as she is of the love shown to him! |

His brother, sister and parents are waiting in the wings .. same blood type, same stem sells ... almost. For rejection rates they want to use his own, just can't seem to harvest enough. You are the bomb though. Can't believe you offered ......... ready to give up some sperm cell samples ... we may wanna try and clone you !!!! Love ya bunches dude. |
