Title: Christmas -school plays Post by pubgirl on Dec 13th, 2003, 3:04am Just seen my 4 year old in his first school play. He was supposed to be a lamb at the manger, but refused to wear the white sheet with bits of tissue paper stuck to it in blobs as he said it was 'stupid'. (it was!) Then he was supposed to sing, but preferred to groove with a great deal of suggestive hip movement while the little girl next to him took all her clothes off. Should I worry??? Wendy P.S. Any other people's kids or grandkids being budding film/porn/ stage stars this Christmas? |

Title: Re: Christmas -school plays Post by Kirk on Dec 13th, 2003, 5:45am I don't see anything to be concerned with. All seems to be normal. You may be reading more into than there is and worrying for no reason. Just my O2 worth YMMV TTFN [smiley=smokin.gif] |

Title: Re: Christmas -school plays Post by pubgirl on Dec 13th, 2003, 6:24am Nancy Well I laughed anyway, but it WAS supposed to be the nativity play which is not known for its laughs! Never wanted a normal child anyway, too dull ;;D! Wendy |

Title: Re: Christmas -school plays Post by ave on Dec 13th, 2003, 6:49am You could have had ME, Wendy... The nativity play I was in, umpteen years ago, was about a young girl meeting all the aspects of Christmas. But I was not that young girl. I was given the sunday school teacher's blue dressing gown, a blue headkerchief and the part of Mary - as a live bit of background. But with the bible story in mind, I insisted I had the Lead Part - who else but Mary? And just to be perfectly obnoxious, I turned on Joseph in the middle of the play and started to berate him in a loud and penetrating voice, for singing out of tune. I hope I learned some better manners since but I am not always so sure (lol). Merry Christmas nonetheless. |

Title: Re: Christmas -school plays Post by RichardN on Dec 13th, 2003, 7:02am LOL The last such play I went to for my grandson (now six), there were lots and lots of video cameras............I would suggest that if you made a tape of the event............send it in to "Funniest Home Videos"............ya might have a winner. Course, in this case it sounds like there might be a lot of folks with the same idea.........just too cute. |

Title: Re: Christmas -school plays Post by jadedgazer on Dec 13th, 2003, 8:38am Wendy, LOL that is ok. My son sat center stage as one of the Wise Men and picked his nose, I mean really got into it. And then ate it. I could have crawled thru the floor. He was 4 and that was his stage debut. Kids always do something to you. It is in their job description. LOL My sisters and I say that raising kids (particularly teens) is like being pecked to death by a duck. LOL |
