If there is a site that will let you upload audio files and store them kinda like Shutterfly does for pictures?

I'm not sure what you mean. Do you want this as a "storage site" where only you (or a small number of users) can access or a "ftp host" where you can make the files available to a larger number of people?

http://www.zftp.com/index.htm is a "ftp host" with packages ranging from 500MB for $5.99/month to 2000MB for $15.99/month.

not sure if this is what you're looking for

I think thats what im looking for Grant, want to be able to post audio files here like I do pics.

Seeing that my webmaster built and maintains my site for free I dont want to bust his nuts everyday with uploading crap for me......LOL ;;D

ya know... there might be a legal issue regarding copyright ----- just guessing

and ftp would be for downloading music... not playing it. ie. streaming

just a couple of things to check into

File transfer protocal is for uploading crap onto the net, aint it?

Just want to be able to gather some audio funnies and be able to post them here, please tell me if I got some of this wrong.....I dont need hefty fines on my ass.....LOL ;;D

i thought you wanted to upload a bunch of tunes for others to listen to ----- audio clips shouldn't be a problem as far as copyright

ftp is for transferring --- usually from a server to yer pc

You could also use an FTP program yourself, make a directory to share on the net, and then type in the URL to your computer that points at that shared directory...it might look like http:\\24.67.135.234\jonsputer\sharedfiles\myvoice.mp3
You would post it in here ashttp:\\24.67.135.234\jonsputer\sharedfiles\myvoice.mp3 if you wanted it to be a hyperlink (That doesn't go anywhere so dont click on it everyone!) lol [smiley=laugh.gif]
There are a lot of programs out there that will allow you to do this from your own computer instead of paying someone else for the service.
Something to think about anyways...remember what I told ya before too jonny, offer stands ;;D

He needs a fixed IP address from his ISP to do this? right?, If he has Win2000 now that shouldn't be a problem, then we can check out his other stuff on his puter LOL.
