Title: Re: Birthday and CH "survey" Post by Charlie on Nov 23rd, 2003, 4:22pm Well...... I don't think so. I was born in August and almost always, mine began in October and restarted in April. Now and then, I have a one week July episode. I have no idea why that happened but it did. Fall and Spring seem the most common but not etched in stone. I don't see a birth or birthday relationship here. I do think that it's important not to "plan" on the things. I think it just makes them worse. After all, this January will be the start of you 95 year remission :D Charlie |

I really dont think that when our parents hatched us means a hell of a lot with CH. I can see the Ad in "Ladies Home Journal" now. WARNING: COPULATING IN THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER PRODUCES CHILDREN WITH CH ! |

Title: Re: Birthday and CH "survey" Post by Mr.Happy on Nov 24th, 2003, 7:47am Excerpted from O.U.C.H. CONVENTION 2003, SUMMARY AND DISCUSSION ......They believe that the circadian rhythms and the hypothalamus are triggered into derangement because of the winter and summer solstice. It has been observed, on an OVERALL plotting of CH sufferers that there is a circannual periodicity in CH. They have shown that overall, sufferers (episodics in cycle, or chronics) will suffer a CH attack 2 weeks after the longest day of the year, and 2 weeks after the shortest day of the year. This was observed by Dr. Kudrow after plotting ALL his patients’ attacks. Individuals will vary obviously, but overall, this has been shown to be true. Seems like an awful lot of folks here have spring/fall cycles, which is contrary to plotted evidence. We've targeted the wrong crowd.......dirt poor equinox idiots, instead of solstice sufferers - where the BIG money resides. And that's why nobody's voting. Wrong season...... RJ |
