I've read your post on the other board and my heart goes out to you....sounds like you've had a tough go of it, Sweetie. Don't despair...there is hope and you will have pain free days. Getting the correct diagnosis is a must...also a good doctor who is willing to listen and work with you. Have you taken the 'cluster quiz' (button on the left)...if not I'd suggest you do so when you feel up to it. Remember now...there are better days ahead...we'll help you get there. This board is full of people who are more than willing to help with advice, hugs when ya need them and big vibes.....they are a super bunch!!!! Keep in touch...we need to know how you are doing. I took 20mg pred and 20mg toradol and got no help at all...nothing...zelch. nothing but prednisone rage and the desire to throw something out the window. on top of that...i tried to make appt at north texas headache clinic that specializes in CH and migraines and they can't see me until February. I can't sit still my freakin' head hurts so bad and I can't stop crying now. Thank God someone else does know the hell i'm living with. :'( :'( txcowgirl (aka renee) |

Post by txcowgirl on Nov 21st, 2003, 9:20pm no, i haven't tried o2. after 7 years of misdiagnosis including hysterectomy for supposed menstrual migraines, sinus surgery for supposed thickening of mucosa on sinus cavity walls, which got bothed and the s.o.b. ran the instrument up thru my ethmoid bone and tore the dura lining my brain thus resulting in another surgery and 17 days in icu instead of the supposed day surgery, herniated discs in neck thus epidural steroid injections that helped at first (due to steroids in system i'm sure) but it wasn't until last monday that dr. even considered CH and come to find out this droopy eye, swollen sinus passage, droopy face muscles, tearing of eye, knot in neck (all on left side always) that come along with my headaches fall right in line with CH. I told the nurse at the HA clinic that I was in a constant cycle and believed to be a chronic CH'er and she could hear the pain and urgency in my voice but apologized and put me on their waiting list as she stated the dr. spends 2 hours with new patients and w/holidays they just don't have any openings until february. here is crossing my fingers they get a cancellation FAST! still no relief after 20mg pred and 20mg toradol today. I finally took 5mg valium to take edginess off of pred side effect and cried until i slept. woke up and h/a still here and left eye 1/2 closed. this CH seems to always worsen for the weekends..or is that just my imagination? thanks for the support..keep it coming as i'm very frustrated, painful and sick of this!!! txcowgirl (aka renee) |
