Title: GWB UK Visit (2)
Post by pubgirl on Nov 19th, 2003, 3:24pm
Don't know if they are showing this on USA TV but GWB's visit so far is pretty funny.

Thought I would share with you some highlights.......

Oh, all right, there aren't any.......

They've bored him silly with hundreds of soldiers in ceremonial uniforms who he had to inspect.

They've nearly made him shit himself by giving him a very loud cannon salute.

They have had such an enormous breach of palace security that he and Colin and Condalisa (?Spelling?) could easily be dead now (that bit isn't funny)

The funniest bit was when they showed him the special exhibition they had prepared for him at Buck House. Photos of Buffalo Bill and other famous Americans etc. He is pictured showing zero facial expressions and completely failing to speak to the Queen at all. This is while Prince Philip, who is an old roue was telling his wife dirty jokes by the look of it. Shame there was no sound, wish I could lip read!

It is all priceless! (poor GWB)

Have to look at The Mirror on line about the breach. Should be fun.

He looks pretty funny bouncing around with the guard. He always looks that way though. It's one of the few things about him that I understand.

Wow.....Liz II.....50 years. I was 7  :o

We have George II. Not impressed.  He's all yours. Lose him somewehere.  George ain't gonna speak in Parliament. How I wish he would....what theatRE it would be ::)

Go to France George.

Yup, well spotted

They decided that it wouldn't be a good idea if he spoke in Parliament as he might get heckled.

Doesn't he get heckled over there at all. It's normal here!

First the UK football fans get banned from the continent for hooliganism.  Now the boorish hecklers parlimentarians are under manners and banned from receiving leaders from another continent.  Is there a pattern here, Pubgirl?  The Brits are renknowned for their skill at forming queues, but  I think there is a problem with larger crowds. ;)

I love it...... [smiley=laugh.gif]

Our crumpet-munching, tea-swilling friends know how to do it. A ton of Londoners saying "high" with red dye in the fountain, toppled effigy, big crowd in orange jump suits as Guantanamo prisoners. Can't wait for tomorrow.  ::)

No one will notice though.  Lunacy has descended in Santa Barbarba.  :-/
