Thought I'd start a new thread about this little get together.....see if anyone else in the area can make it.

December 11th (Thursday), Cosmos (don't have an address yet), general vicinity of the French Quarter.....all clusterheads welcome. Time....well, that's just anytime you want to show up...... ;;D.

Roxy..if I end up able to come it won't be to stay overnite. I homeschool and could get away for one day, but not two. Plus all the responsibilities of motherhood ya know. Just no breaks really in my life right now. BUT, if I come it will be a last minute decision. As long as I have your cellphone # or someones and know where you all are going to meet,etc..I may be able to find you all for dinner.

I'll let ya know.

I am planning on being there. Not sure where Cosmos is, but Steve sent me his ph #'s, so surely he can tell me. [smiley=huh.gif]
I will call him in a few days and get some info as to how to get where I am going. :o

When ya'll come up with a time, let me know. I will drive over from lakehouse Thursday a.m. I am sure I can find something to do while waiting.

Hey if I am able to slip away (an I will try very hard), the day would be better for me too! I would love to meet with you ladies. It would absolutely work best for me to drive over in the morning, spend the afternoon and head home around 5-6p.

Folks at office said it is on the corner of Burgundy (pronounced Burr-Gundy) and Governor Nichols.

And, from experience.......whoever comes......you GONNA get lost in New Orleans......it's just gotta be that way..lol

I know you can find Canal St., so, since ya'll are coming early, why don't we meet at the Sheraton on Canal. It's just a block or so up from the river, Harrahs (you can't miss Harrahs..it's huge), and Canal St. Mall. Does that sound like a better idea? Then we can just head out to wherever.... ;;D

Gio, my husband has already written down that restaurant on Barrone....he says he's heading there straight from the airport..... :) That seems like all we do in New Orleans is ~~drink~~ eat, ~~drink~~ eat, ~~drink~~ eat..... ::)

I've never been to NO so, yeah..keep it easy to meet. How far is this Canal st. from the interstate? An exact hotel addy and we can all use mapquest for directions.

Here is a link that has a map to the hotel on it. Canal is right off of 10. The address is 500 Canal St. If you drive in on 10, there will be a number of signs for the exit to Canal.

oh yeah roxy, that was exactly my thought.......like I've said....I've been downtown MANY times. ........BUT

I still NEVER drive there, hate it....and the parking there totally sucks........I make my husband drive ALL the time.

Maybe we could meet somewhere else?? any ideas....trying to think myself where would be easier........hmmmm.....ideas?

Thinking of something major that would perhaps come up before Canal........but with my brain in warp zone right now.....ain't much good

oh well, let me know what you guys think......

Yeah, New Orleans is pretty laid back as far as dress "code" goes.

I'll be the one in the OUCH shirt.

Last time I was there I think it was Hurricane Season. Sorta remember being poured into a cab at some point in the evening......

the best I remember, I've always LIKED New Orleans.... and have the glasses to prove it... ::)

I love Uglesich's fried green tomatoes. This place is not very far from my house. It’s kind of in a shady neighborhood but is one of the most famous restaurants in the city.
