Title: I need your opinions   PLZ
Post by Unsolved on Nov 9th, 2003, 7:05pm
As many of you know ... I've been chronic for over 3 years now and I've been going to MHNI for treatment but I also have a local neuro that i've been with forever.

Anyways...nothing is working. I'm still using injection after injection. MHNI wants me to come back tomorrow for an appointment. My local neuro said to cancel it IF the Clomid was working. I thought it was for awhile but it must have been all the DHE and steriods because the beast woke me twice early this morning.

My question is : Should I keep my appointment with MHNI and drive nearly 400 miles (each way) for an appointment ? I know I should tell them that the Clomid isn't working either but DAMN I hate to drive that far for an appointment !

Keep it or break it ?

"I'm just starting to feel like there is NO HOPE...when the beast is finally done with me, he'll let go...until then...nobody can do shit about it !"

On top of everything else ... I need more Imitrex injections too (about a hundred or so .. for now)

I need to not have so many headaches before December rolls around ... I enrolled in college classes again and don't wanna do it with NO SLEEP and multiple HA's everyday

Well, the answer seems simple enough...the odds are probably better, even though marginal, if you seek any type of treatment you can.  Mine is not so bad for now...I only have to drive 240 miles each way.

Good luck man!

Chris

Why is it you guys ask all the HARD questions?? [smiley=huh.gif] anyway, I'm thinking its pretty much a toss-up.........really depending on how bad you want to be PF (kinda blunt, I know) but I just don't see any other way. In the end, its gonna all be up to you. Just try and make a decision you can live with.

My Best to ya and yer son,
Ramon

Unsolved, I'm really sorry you are having such a bad time.  I know you don't agree with the treatment that I have chosen......but, it does work.  It works with no bad side effects, and it's dirt cheap.  It hasn't taken me PF yet, but it has brought me into a low cycle.  It also makes 02 work so much better.

Wish I could offer you some different advice, but I can't.

PFDAN,
Tracey

My experience so far. (http://www.clusterheadaches.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=meds;action=display;num=1067037622)

Personally, I would try just about semi-reasonable treatment to combat my CH......this shit hurts!.

Make the appointment.  You never know when the "breakthrough" is going to happen.

If there is a way to get yourself pain free, go for it, 1600 miles or no. Question is: Can the long-distance clinic do anything for you that your local neuro can't?
