that's right. Got home today and there are 4 boxes of dried peas in our mailbox. (you thought I meant sumthin else, huh?) The woman is crazy. :o

People, people, people! Personally, I don't want anyone even trying to fit poontang in the mail.

In case the more cerebral among you need input, poontang is an early 20th century alteration of the French putain, prostitute, from Old French, from pute, feminine of put, foul, stinking, from Latin ptidus, from ptre, to be rotten, stink.

Not a nice word.

It was originally used as a disparaging term for a woman or, sepcifically, a prostitue; it found some use as a term for the female pudenda; and more modernly as a term for sexual relations.

OK, I'm talkin fries, gravy and cheese. Trust all y'all to direct this conversation into the dumper. ::)

The word is "poutine" thankyouverymuch, and here is a description of same. I especially like the part about how each fry is to be held with a fork and lovingly caressed, but probably only a Canadian would understand that sentiment. :)

A Little more history for ya....

"Poutine" is also the American- ized spelling for a Slavic Pastry... Polish or Chzech I believe. Basically a type of doughnut. Usually filled with jelly or some form of sweet cheese and very very large as well. Usually near .5 to 1 pound in wheight each. I can feel my arteries clogging already :o

Jelly doughnouts? We have them down down here. Lots of raspberry jelly in big doughnut with powdered sugar. Not bad, not good for you so it must be good.
