A week ago (Oct 9th) he started a thread "another new one on me" about sleep disorders and then "disappeared" sometime in the next couple hours.

(sleeping, maybe?)

I hope he is sleeping and not banging his head.  He just had that surgery.  So maybe he is getting a nice break and taking advantage of it and spending some time with his son.

He left Clusterville and told me he's never coming back - "not even a peek".

He did email me and told me that the RF procedure isn't  working...  which is a real BUMMEr to say the least.

I tried to talk him into coming back - he's not.  It's sad.

Tina

I'm not sure if results are expected from the RF procedure immediately.  Judging by posts of his, it seems that it was only about 3 weeks ago that the procedure was performed.

A few of you have asked about weather the RF (radio frequency) procedure has helped me ...
It's been 1 week...I've had shadows 5 days and 1 severe attack that woke me out of my sleep. 2 PFD's total since the procedure. Although I haven't been getting hit really hard lately, I'm not too sure if it has helped or not. I know that along with the procedure, I was injected with steroids (in my neck) ... so actually it could be the steroid injection that has helped out so far. Time will tell. Also, the full effect of the RF procedure isn't expected for 4 - 6 weeks

It does seem odd that he would decide to leave 2hrs after starting a new thread (on Oct 9th).

Does anyone have any other information/ideas?

Ok, he's probably going through a depression. I had the StereoTactic RadioFrequency Trigeminal Rhizotomy (not the Gamma Knife, but the microwave) surgery back in 99 and it didn't work and I went through a BAD depression after it didn't. You get yourself built up and the let down can be awful when the headaches hit back.

For those of you who know him well, let me suggest that you start e-mailing the devil out of him. Don't let him feel sorry for himself. That's what my "family" here did to me and it pulled me out of it - after a while.

Let's all just hope it works and he comes back home soon.

Hugs BD

Well, whatever the posts say, I hope he is doing well.  I am not gonna judge someone on two posts regardless of what they say. Don't really care what they say.  I only know for sure that pain of any kind hurts, and with it you can lash out at even the ones ya love.

See ya.
