I still have mine. But my sister had hers removed. We were playing doctor (I was six and she was five) and I shoved a screwdriver down her throat to take her temperature. She was screaming with blood running out her mouth. I remember running from my mom while she was yelling something like "I'm going to kill you". Eventually mom caught me and beat the shit out of me. Now I have clusters.

had mine up until recently....  recently had them removed along with fixing a deviated septum..  They thought that would help my CH..  More O2 when I sleep etc....

No such luck and DAMN that hurt...

When they "unpacked" my nose there must have been 60 feet of gauze shoved up in there....

And with the tonsils....  shit..   It did not hurt until the third day...  I thought I had it made until the third day...,  then all I wanted was cold jello and my mother.

Interesting... I don't have mine, but I never had them removed... mine... eroded away according to the doctor.  At least I lucked out there!  Had tonsilitis lots of times as a kid, but my doc said "let's just wait..."  Well, many years later went in for a sore throat and the doc said "well, it's not your tonsils... they've eroded away!"  
Cool huh?

Mine were yanked 2 weeks ago.  Along with triming and rerouting a shit load of other parts of the nose and throat.  Hell of a diet program.
