Title: An update on Christopher Post by OneEyeBlind on Oct 2nd, 2003, 10:27am Here is an update from my sister on Christopher. For those of you following, I did skip posting the last two updates as from one day to the next we were never sure which direction things were going in. Got a little hairy there for awhile. So rather than overwhelm anyone with the roller coast ride of treatment and problems .. I skipped a few. Anyways, things have settled down now. Thank you for the cards he has received so far. He smiles with every one he recieves. I have to say though, that Jacks took the cake with the silver dollar ... and the saying about "never being broke". LOL. Prayers are always welcome as we struggle through treatment. His address again if you wish to send a card is: Christopher Smith 1003 Dellville Road Dunacnnon, PA 17020 > Dear Friends and Family, > > I thought I would write a non-crisis update for a change.:) Christopher > has been home > since Monday dinnertime. They ended up giving him some more blood > products on Monday > since his red blood cell count did not recover as quickly as they would > have liked. Title: Re: An update on Christopher Post by Edna on Oct 2nd, 2003, 5:34pm WOW.......here I came to have to hunt for an update and viola'.......you supplied dear!! Thanks a bunch! Gee, tears well in my eyes as I read the courage of this wonderful boy. He could teach us all something!! Chris' card is in the mail nancy, and I'm hoping he likes it when he gets it! As I mailed it I pictured him having it brought to him at the hospital from someone at home.....it makes me all the happier to know he'll be home to receive it!! Please tell Maryann that my prayers are continuing and my thoughts are with them all. But, please, ALL OF YOU.........don't give up!!! WITHOUT HOPE THERE IS NOTHING. Recently here, a very young father of two was told there was absolutely nothing they could do anymore for the cancer he has battled for the last year or so. He's SO young and so much to look forward to. WELL, to make a long story shorter.........last week I got word that TWO YES TWO of the tumors in his lungs are gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :'( :'( :'( :'( tears of joy for him!! He came to last week's high school football game wanting to "work" (volunteer) with us other parents......through it all he has maintained his job as well.......he decided to continue with treatments even though there was "supposedly" nothing they could do. The good Lord up above saw fit to answer the tremendous outpouring of prayers. This news is such happiness to all who know him I'm sure......... MY HOPE........is that REALLY soon, Christopher has some milestone news to share with us also!!!!!!!!!!!! warm hugs, and continued thoughts and prayers Love, EDNA |

Title: Re: An update on Christopher Post by Jackie on Oct 2nd, 2003, 6:13pm Thank you for the update on Christopher. I'm sure you've told him that we all think he is a young hero and we are very proud of him. He is an amazing young man. Please tell him that if he needs another 'cluster buck' just give me a yell..... :) But I think that one is gonna do the trick. We will continue the prayers and positive thought.... Hugs, Jack 8) |

Title: Re: An update on Christopher Post by Charlie on Oct 3rd, 2003, 6:55pm Thanks for the update. Having to put up with stuff like this doesn't square with me and shouldn't with any being. Both he and your family have a ton of support here. Wish we could do much more. Charlie |
