Title: Done moving for a year or so...
Post by brain_cramps on Oct 1st, 2003, 10:00pm
Well...   after 5 moves in 3 months (to the day), I'm finally moved in and getting set up.

across one side of my living room (read: office) there is 2 desktops, 1 laptop, printer/scanner/copier/fax, DSL modem, router, and about 8000 pages of courses (and growing --- will be up to 20,000 by next spring)

gonna be working part-time through the winter   --- 2 days a week in the office --- on-call at home online the rest of the time.  lately been averaging 12 to 18 hrs a day in the books.  (only sleeping 3 to 5 hrs per night)

just thought i'd mention...        DAMN its GREAT to have a place to call home.    :D

Hey Grant,

Congrats on the move... and the new stability.

One question: Are you still going to be a Canucks fan or are you switching to another team?

Not expecting a great season for our Habs over here in MTL.  But hey, you never know...

Take it easy!

once a 'nucks fan, always a 'nucks fan     (kinda like Roughrider fans ;D)

besides...   we don't have a team here    (almost stole the Blues from St.Louis back in the 80s   LOL)

Grant,

That all sounds great, congrats on finding some stability.

On the fatherly advice side, and knowing about the struggles of long-term rehab... be careful.  It sounds like you're hitting the books pretty hard, kind of like substituting one addiction for another.  All I'm saying is try to maintain some balance, don't overdo anything.  Slow and steady wins the race my friend.

Enjoy your new digs!

That's the same concern a couple of the counsellors had.  I'm mixing things up a bit with swimming a mile a day (when I get the chance) and getting into Tai-Chi (for relaxation).

Still, I'm pretty busy between work and the courses.

Thanks for the concern Shawn.  I'm already keeping that in mind.

Hey Grant,
Glad you can stay in one place for a while.  Sounds like you have a lot to read.  Hope all is well.
