Title: Zomig 2MT
Post by Tom K on Sep 23rd, 2003, 8:45pm
I know this is a general post board, but I thought I might get a quicker answer here than on the meds board.  I just talked to a friend of mine who is a pharm and she said that Zomig has a pill called Zomig 2MT.  It is a tablet that disolves under the tongue, like a nitro pill.  Has anyone heard of it or tried it?  I will be calling my pharm tomorrow and see if they have it.  I also have the phone number to Astra Zeneca, the makers of Zomig and will try to get info on when the NS is coming out.  Any info and any other ?'s you may have for them will be passed along, so send them my way.

I've tried Zomig ZMT, but didn't have any luck with it... I think others have mentioned good results with it though.  Good luck.

No luck here with Zomig, but don't let that discourage you. I didn't have much luck with anything. Topamax is about the only thing that's helped me at all.

Hello Tom, I’ve taken Zomig but for me it doesn’t work... it takes a looooong time to work. Imitrex for me is more effective! Good luck, Zaira ;)

Hi all, just got off the phone with Astra Zeneca, who makes Zomig and they said that the ZMT doesn't work any faster than regular Zomig (and that's what everyone is saying here!)  But...Zomig NS is before the FDA and should be approved soon.  The time it takes the NS to work is 2-5 minutes!  As fast or faster than an Imitrex injection.  My friend the pharm will let me know as soon as it is availble.
