Title: another new guy Post by froman on Sep 19th, 2003, 8:09pm What a great site. I went 2 years without any cluster headaches and foolishly was hoping they disappeared. I found this site last night after my "first of many to come this month" headache went away. It is funny how quickly the pain stops procrastination. Yes after 15 years I still am in search of a pain reliever. I spent many years going to family doctors and buying tons of worthless medicines, I finally said the hell with it. I put up with the cluster headaches until it's time to put a gun to my head or go to the ER. As you can see I have not used the gun yet. HaHa I haven't known anybody other than myself that truly had cluster headaches. This is refreshing to have a place to go and talk about this. I believe I will learn alot from this site and the people in it. Thanks for being here. |

If you have read other posts, you already know the advice that will be given over and over agian: read, read and read some more. This site and the yellow button on the left for OUCH have a lot of information. You will find the most extensive collection of knowlege about cluster headache than in any other place. Know that there is always someone here if you need to ask a question, scream, cry, vent, or what ever it is you need. We are here, "brother", and welcome to the family. Now, we are all in this same boat. This boat does not move by itself, therefore, grab and oar, your seat is over there on the left side, and start rowing. Cootie is the whip mistress here, so make sure you put your all into rowing!!! heehee .. Welcome to the nuthouse! Chuck |

We've all been there and it's nice to know that you don't have to "explain" this horror to someone with no idea. We all know exactly what you're talking about. I hope you look around because there are some good ideas about dealing with this horror.
