She gave me damn good advice, and the nerve to post on the board. She still yells at me quite frequently.....LOL. The first ch'ers I ever met were Den and Georgia.....it was love at first site for me. They were just great....and I never believed the instant bond stuff....till that night in Houston. :-* The first ch'er I ever saw get hit.....Linda H....it was a horror that I had hoped to never see. Someone you care about in unbelievable pain. :'( |

Then there were many more...Prense, Wendy, Pam, Charlie, Carl D, Barbara, Melissa, Nancy and several more. All of you are angels....all are on a mission. The goal is the same. And that is to give love, help and support and even some laughs. And you all are great. The post by Opus/Paul about the signs....cracks me up. The sign that impressed me most was the "AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME". I have lmao daily at that. Remarkable that we can display a sense of humor when we are in this battle. However, if I had to choose an angel....I spose for me it is Jackie. She has corresponded daily with me via e-mail. Such strength and determination she has. And always right there for me. Before I can click the send button on my e-mail, she has responded. I feel as though I have known her and Blake forever. May seem a bit unfair to choose 1 person out of so many, but I think that is the way it is meant to be. With so many sufferers, how can 1 angel take care of them all? So, in all actuality, all are angels in their own way. Some are naturally drawn to certain folks, and I think that is a natural thing. The Head Angel in Charge has to be D.J. If I have read and understood this correctly, he is the creator of all this. Never in my life have I ever felt a need for support for anything. Now, all of a sudden, I feel that I cannot survive without this mb. I have never been to chat, don't know how to get there...lmao. Thanks to all the angels....you will not be forgotten, and I hope you realize what a special gift you all are. |

She sent me a private mail with great advice when I was at my lowest and it re-energized me like crazy. Das also pointed me to a good neuro near my home for which I can never thank him enough. There was Bennie Sue who was so sweet and asked me to translate some stuff in French. And there was also Jonny who gave me a ride when I said I had been away for two years because I was PF. I thought it was the right thing to do cause I didn't think I could help anyone else (I knew so little). Let's just say his message was crystal clear. And here I am now, PF and all... Are the archives gone again or am I just stupid ???? Anyways, the first thing I did on the board was email Charlie cause I thought he seemed like the nice friendly sort. I wasn't wrong. He responded with a warmth that I'll never forget. I joined the board shortly after that ............ and I remember Echo, who to me has always been a savior when times are tough. 2 Late, with his warm welcome and his advice now and then. Not4Hire, who I still think deserves the best job in the world and I hope has found it !!!!! Dark Angel, who has always inspired me with his welcomes ...... what ever happened to those days ...... I miss them. And soooooooooooo many others who made my first cycle bearable .............. too many too mention but all in my heart. |

When she hadn't heard from me in a while she had me check in. We exchanged phone numbers and she used to tease me about trying to quit smoking. Both of us were out on sick leave at the same time so we had two things in common. During my sick leave Elaine and I use to MSN almost every day. I miss that! Glad I'm at work, but sorry I'm no longer around to MSN with you Elaine! :( And the there was Jonny. He was always there to kick me in the ass when I was feeling sorry for myself and to give me advice when I needed it. Glad Elaine convinced you to stick around big guy! And, Tony G was among the ones whom I chatted with that first night also.........and offered great support for me. There are many other angels here, all for different people at different times. So, I may forget some people that were there for me at the begining right now. This was back in '99! Bob G kept me going through rough nights. Nancy always was there for ANY type of support. Johnny kept me on my toes. BarbD and LindaH were always there. Remember the classes with Ms Holloman & Ms Twitch? BobP and Drummer going at each other. All of us going at Jack B ;) Loved debating with Ted & Todd. Loved trying to figure out Den! Sailpappy was great! Where's Bob Kipple, LC Bob, Ken Hubbard? But, I'm surprised I've haven't seen a name I expected to see quite a bit ... Riccardo! I can't remember him not responding to every post written by anyone on any subject. Now there's an angel! Shoot, all of the above I mentioned are, and the many more way back then I'm getting too shadowy right now to remember. What was this thread about? Oh yeah ... angels. Everyone, newbies or old timers who respond in their different ways of support are all angels! Best be going, can't find the keys to easy now. This new board though has taken away mine and BobG's addiction to wiping out all the "blue posts", couldn't have a post unread and still in blue font. Obviously, I've got to go ... Dave Wait! ...
