Tina, i had one attack in march of this year in the middle of the nite. Then in april, my cycle started with mostly daytime attacks, only a handfull of nitetime kip 10s. It lasted for 5 weeks, It was the easiest cycle so far. I hope the beast forgets your address. PF  Vibes are heading your way  ............andy

Tina, Dave gets the same thing. 1 or 2 hits then nothing then outta the blue here he comes full force with out warning and WHAM! Hes in cycle! Dave has said this is how his cycle starts up. When it on the down slide of the cycle he will get hit and OFTEN then nothing for about 3 or 4 months of PF time. Heres hopin the beast get lost on the way to yall. Leesa

The beast usually pays me a visit starting right around this time of year... but fortunately, it typically skips a year!  This is *supposed* to be my "year off", but we'll see.

My wife has noted that I have always gone in cycle the years that we DIDN'T have a baby--so her suggestion is to have more babies!  ;D  (we're having a baby in about 2 weeks, and no visit from the beast this year, so far)

As to the 'mini cycle' reported by Cerebus...I fully agree with Jonny and others who have often quoted:

"The only predictable thing about the beast is it's unpredictability!"

Take care and live well!

I remember skipping one season in the last 25 years or so.....and fall is my time....and I have ben ramping up for a couple of weeks now. Never really stopped shadowing from last year. Now the shadows have been steadily increasing for the last week or so and I have had one blast already....aborted by Zomig. I got the feeling the train is coming...and I reckon I am as ready as one can be....this has been going on for 28 years now so I guess I am kinda jaded. At least I have some meds that work.....usually!  ;D

Last year mine came early september, the year before they came late sept./early oct. before that mid/late oct.....
This years pattern has been COMPLETELY different. July 20th, out of the blue, about 6:00 pm I felt great had'nt had a headache in months. 6:15 I'm pacing around the bathroom w/ the lights out except for the moments here and there I was knealing over the toilet trying to make some kind of deal w/ God. I was convinced I was going to meet him in about 10 mins. Had a constant wave of shadows for about 3 days. Then my cycle started like normal.  I'm still in it, but it feels like I'm coming out.

I hope this info helps y'all.
Yeah, what  Jonny said.
 Take it easy,
Mark

Tina,

Like I was telling you this morning, two months ago, out of the blue I got hit a couple of times. So I figured I start ramping up the verapamil (80 mg of "regular"), then nothing happened for a while. Then I got hit again a couple of times, upped to 160 mg. Now I'm up to 320 mg which is divided in 80mg doses every 6 hours. It just hapopens that it is around those hours that I get hit. So far it has been over two months I think almost three when I started with the Verap. Hope this helps.

... I can be hit out of cycle randomly....

... but when that happens... it's a K-10... but just for 2 or 3 seconds....

... just enough to depress someone...

the Beastard is a formidable opponent.
Choosing to strike at unpredictable moments...
waiting til you've dropped your guard, or worse... fallen asleep!
