Title: LAST Healing Doll Auction:For DJ’s Web Maintenance
Post by SommelierCH on Sep 6th, 2003, 4:02pm
BARBARA’S; WILDE WOMEN OF OUCH, HANDMADE HEALING DOLLS (with “OUCH” tattoos in gold thread on their bosoms) AUCTION: # 5: FOR WEB MAINTENANCE.

Personally, I think that the execution of this “Last Doll Auction” is brilliant. The story board concept and construction alone took five people, 8 days to complete. The actual photo shoot for this picture series, was divided into two-2 day sections. The production of this “Last Doll Auction”, cost quite a bit (Union workers), but the final result is everything I could have ever wished for, in my artistic career.

Below these pictures you will find: Barbara’s thoughts on her handmade healing dolls, sentimental crap from me, and the Rules and Regulations for participating in the “Auction for Web Maintenance”.

THIS IS A WILDE ONE! She loves to entertain, and she loves wine.

http://tinyurl.com/mg

Knowing that she was moving to a new home soon, she threw a going away party for herself. This girl is not naive, and she is defiantly NOT low maintenance.

http://tinyurl.com/mgpe

I saw her mingling with the Champagne “Big-Wigs”. She was so sexy and witty, she had them popping their corks. You can see that she has Cristal Rose and Dom Perignon, flirting with her. I think she is giving a lap dance to Perrier Jouet “Flower Bottle”. They do seem to be lining up.

http://tinyurl.com/mgpf

The two, 1982 Bordeaux’s really took a liking to her, but the MAGNUM of Opus One 1997, made her swoon. Size does matter.

http://tinyurl.com/mgpg

I don’t know if this New Zealand, Sauvignon Blanc was hard to twist open, or if there is a confusion in the term “screw top”?

http://tinyurl.com/mgph

She had disappeared from the party for quite some time, so I went looking for her. I found her high up on this balcony, reliving through flashback, her 1977 trip to New Orleans for Mardi-Gras.

http://tinyurl.com/mgpi

She told me later that she didn’t remember leaving the party. She said “All I remember, is being on a balcony, and everyone screaming ‘Show us your tits!! Show us your tits!!’” What girl could resist a line like that?

http://tinyurl.com/mgpl

This chick is an expert in Dessert Wines. You can see the heavyweights that showed up, including the Dolce twins.

http://tinyurl.com/mgpm

She finished off the evening with Habana, Cohiba torpedoes for everyone. Yummy! She’s high maintenance, but a class act. She deserves a good home.

From Barbara, the creator of these Healing Dolls:

“This one is a batik print cotton …, her hair is dyed Lincoln [a breed of sheep] wool. The necklaces and belts are mostly made of recycled jewlery. They are filled with polyfill and are not children's toys.

The orginal doll I made was for a friend of Jill's who was diagonsed with cancer last spring. After several frightening weeks the doctors [OOPS!] made a mistake and she didn't have cancer but a correctable growth and today she is fine. I enjoyed making the dolls so I made more and they got partying in the basement and this is how they turned out....I hope you'll bid on them…

RULES AND REGULATIONS

This auction will last exactly three weeks from the time of this post. This auction is open to anyone with money coming out the wazzoo. When DJ lets me know that the transaction is complete, I will mail this party animal, Healing Doll to you.

David J.
CEO & President
ClusterHead Productions
“We Wear Our Pain With Pride”

P.S. Fuckeneh!

P.P.S. If this offends anyone who would otherwise put in a winning bid, I will be glad to change it for you. However, it is after all; just a doll. However, I admit that I am tweaked, I’m a ClusterHead.

Sorry kids,

I didn’t know that there were going to be three more auctions and a raffle coming up when I posted this. But, we’ve got this one already going and this is the only one for DJ’s Web Maintenance, for this website, so I don’t think there is a conflict.

David J.
I wouldn’t want anyone to be confused, I am the only one in “ClusterHead Productions”, so I named myself CEO & President. I figured that Emperor, would sound a little to egotistical.

P.S. I bid $32.50

:)

$100.00

If my bid is the winning bid...I would like to gift this doll to D.J.
I sincerely consider him to be the H.A.I.C. (Head Angel in Charge)
No amount of money can come close to the compassion, love, tears, and genuine concern that this man has put into this site.

I am amazed every day when I come here. I have to wonder......where would all of us be, without this site? I may be new, but I'm smart enough to know that this site is a lifeline.

Hats off to ya D.J. .....And btw, if my bid is not the winning bid, I will send the $100.00 anyway.

Lots of love...and wishes to all for pfdan.....

Bump...

If the last doll went for $200 (it did, I bought it and gifted it to Edna) this one surely can reach that mark or BETTER!

One bid Jonny?  C'mon, you can do better than that.   ;D

Lots of good auctions going on .... we have a few for OUCH as well as this one.  Bump in the name of fund raising !

Several hundred dollars have been raised for OUCH by the first 4 auctions of Barbara’s Healing Dolls (although #4 is still unclaimed). This last auction is the only one out of the 5, that goes for the maintenance of this wonderful website. That seems fair to me.

Barbara Baby,

What a joy to see you here again. I think of you often, since I see your dolls every day. Soon it will be just me and the Orange doll. I will still think about you. Thank you so much for stepping forward with the donation of your 5 Healing Dolls, months ago. One person can make a difference.

These doll auctions have been a hoot, they pulled us together for the cause, and damned if they didn’t raise over $360.00 for OUCH, on the first three, alone. You are a gem, please feel welcome to come around more often, and just jump in anytime (I will personally coat you with flame retardant). You have a perspective that we need, you came from the outside, and now you understand us. On top of that, you reached out to help us. I think I will frame that first email you sent me.

You were the only one who supported the “ClusterHead Art, Crafts and Photography Gallery” and the companion on-going auction. On behalf of all the ClusterHeads and Supporters in this family, Thank you.

Jean, a.k.a. TxBasslady,

YOU GO GIRL!! Welcome to the family. Now, if only you were single and living in L.A. we be havin things.

So, everybody:
Email Montel http://www.montelshow.com/show/tell.htm, commit to the Quality of Life Survey, join OUCH (it’s free), take two aspirins and call me in the morning.

David J.

Have to ask a question.  What happened to doll # 4?  You said unclaimed?    Was the money received and the doll just unclaimed?  These dolls seem to be very special.  I am so impressed with all of this dedication.  I'm hoping that Barbara, is the Barbara in Gladewater.  I am going there to meet her real soon.  I haven't advised her of that yet, but I'm gonna go.  She is only a hop, skip and a jump away from me.       8)

ummmmmm......awwww......what the hell

Here's a bid bump........ $250.00    (for D.J.)

Hugs, love and lots of pfdan to you all.........

Jean ( who has NEVER been to LA....but still wants to know about doll # 4........lol)

I'm glad the dolls have done so well, I really enjoyed making them and believe it or not I do apprieciate what everyone did for Jill in the past. I think of you often also, I am glad you bought one of the dolls. I put alot of heart into them. And I love the pictures.
I told you once before not to make me more than I am,  I am just a regular person. And you don't have to coat me with flame retardant because I can take as much as I dish out. And while I don't believe I have to take any crap from anyone, I also believe I should never let a kindness go undone.
Jill and I still read the board, Jill sometimes answers people in private but I think it would be a long time before she posts back on the board. We have been through too much this year for her to open up to any hurt. You are right, I came from the outside and I am going to stay there. The last couple of months have ripped me apart.
David J, I was going to post this in private but I figured what-the-hell, I was on the board anyway.
Jean. I am not that Barbara, I am Jill's mom [she has clusters] from Maryland. I hope you win the doll, she is very special.      Barbara

:)

Hi Barbara,  It is certainly my pleasure to meet you. (and it's ok that you're not the Barbara from Gladewater...lol)

These dolls appear to be so very special.  You are a very talented lady. And I can tell that you are a very special Mom.  I don't know your daughter, but she is a very lucky person to have you in her life.

I have 3 sons, all grown, married with children, but they are my life and soul.  I consider myself to be very blessed.

I respect your privacy, therefore it is not necessary for you to respond to my post. I just wanted to say how very beautiful these dolls are.  And should I be the one to win the bid, I am certain that D.J. will take very good care of her.

God bless you and Jill.....may your days of pain be very few.

Hugs and love from Texas........

Jean
