Title: Secret nude pics of clusterheads Shhhh-- Post by River_Rat on Aug 28th, 2003, 3:27pm Gotcha!!!! Now answer me damn it!!! PLEASE I've been in cycle sinse July 6th, and I'm taking Verelin 200mg AM & PM and of course imitrex injections (hate em but they ALWAYS work) and I would take a 50mg imitrex tab before bed and it would sometimes kill the night time beast. Someone on this site mentioned Amerge 2.5mg, so I asked my doc about them and he said they were very bad for me but he gave me a script for them anyway, but he only gave me a two week supply. Take one AM and one PM-----well glory to the lord these things completely knocked out my clusters--I mean nothing total pain free. Anyway the script ran out I thought I was cured (lol) but the next day about noon they started hitting again, so I called my doc and begged him for a new script and he gave in. Is it really bad to take these things twice a day or is my doc just paranoid. I have been trying to just take one a day before bed but thats not really working. I sleep ok but I get hit during the day. LEE |

My doc said there bad, my pharmisist even came out from behind his counter when I picked them up and said they could give me a stroke, But they really work for me! LEE |

It was the first thing that ever aborted a headache for me. I tried it in 98 and if I remember correctly, I had one, count it one, CH, took an Amerge daily for a week, and end of episode. I thought it was a miracle drug. When the cluster of 2003 started, the Amerge didn't seem to help. I had been taking them 2-3 times per week for a couple of years for migraines, so maybe the magic had ended. I used other *triptans during this episode. I don't know why you got such warnings about Amerge, or why it would be more dangerous than other *triptans. But I never had any problem with it. Bump? Bump and grind? Carla |

My male cat bumps me with his forehead, especially when he has just come in from outdoors. It's a way to mark me with his scent and claim me as his own. When I saw all the bumps before, I thought it was some macho ritual among the male Clusterheads! Sorry, my mistake ;D |

I was taking imitrix 6-8 times a day. He was hoping to take the amerge 1-2 times a day. One every 12 hours I was told. Hmmmm Do you have a heart condition or something? Maybe that is why your dr. is worried. Ask him what the hangup is or get a second opinion. |

If your Dr. gives you Imitrex inj. but says Amerge is too dangerous, I'm at a loss to understand why. Amerge IS a triptan. I am only alowed by my Ins. to have 9 per month, but that's because of cost. Nothing else. I hoard them to use as a preventative in cases where I need to be pain-free for several hours. Like I recently went to a wedding and didn't want to have to leave half-way through. I also use it when I need to get 6 hours of sleep. I'm not a Dr.......so do the search and see what you come up with. Good luck. LindaH |

I swear people-------2 amerge 2.5mg morning and night completely wiped these things out, but if I stop they come back so I know there working, If you haven't tried them you might wanna give it a shot------- I'm sure it won't work for everyone!! but maybe worth a try!!
