Title: Cant seem to find my cycle end...
Post by ferrarihead on Aug 19th, 2003, 11:03pm
Hello guys,

I've been suffering from Ch's for about 4 years now,
took me about 2 years to figure out what I had...

I finally had the gaule to use my C02 prescription and start taking the 10-15 dosage and you know what it really works for me:)

Unfortunatly 3 ot of 5 bouts come back within 10 minutes of stopping the dosage, so i need to reapply for another 15 minutes and this usually does the trick.

I'm still hoping that the headache that I receive avery day at 11:15am will be the last one for the cycle but so far I've had no such luck.

Looking forward to hearing from you guys

Sal

Hi Sal:

Did a doc diagnose you or did you find out by yourself that you have cluster headaches?

Are you on any preventative meds?

It's good that you found this site as we have all kinds of info for you to read that will help you.

Welcome

Welcome, Sal. I am truly sorry that you have to be here....but it's the best place you can be for CH. Check out the links to the left....they are the gateway for everything you ever wanted to know about cluster headaches, but were afraid to ask.

Please tell me the "CO2" was a typo....that you aren't breathing in carbon dioxide to stop your clusters. :) If it is O2 that you are using, make sure you read all the info about its use from the link to the left.

Have you tried any pharmaceutical preventatives or abortives? Verapamil is the first choice preventative for many Ch'ers. Prednisone is also used frequently to break cycles. Imitrex injections are the liquid gold for many sufferers. If you haven't already, you may want to talk to your dr about them. Tell us what meds you have tried....the more you tell us, the more we can help.

I'm sorry your cycle hasn't ended yet. Stay strong...it will.

I hate that you had to find us, but I'm glad ya did. Welcome home, cluster head.

Peace and love,
Georgia

Hello all,

Thanks for the warm welcome :)

I usualy log in when i go thru a cycle....like now.

Yes I made an error, I am using oxygen, and it seems to abort within 5 min. and I use it for 15.  3 out of 5 ch's come back as soon as i stop inhaling so i need to retake another 15 minutes and then i'm done for the day.

I'm experimenting with the oxygen and will see my doctor in the coming weeks for other alternatives.

I live in Montreal, Canada and find it difficult to locate others with CH. Thanks to the site I can relate to many of you as you can all relate to me :)

I will be tracking my bouts as of today and will be tailoring a spreadsheet in excel with the help of graphs. Once completed you will all be welcome to use it and comment on it.

Hope you are all PF for a long long time,

Sal
