There is help and meds that work. Imitrex and O2 and have been helpful for many. Stay aboard and become familiar  with all the info that's here. You will also find great support. Welcome.

I'M  ALLERGIC TO  ANY OF THE TRIPTAN DRUGS... IMITREX,ZOMIG & AXERT. I FOUND OUT THE HARD WAY IN THE HOSPITAL WITH MY THROAT CLOSED OFF .. I HAD TESTS  RAN BECAUSE ALL OF MY EKG'S CAME BACK ABNORMAL.. THEY DID NEUCLEAR TESTING ON MY HEART THANK GOD IM OK AND DAMAGE WASNT DONE TO MY HEART MUSCLES. MY DOCTOR SEEMS TO NOT KNOW WHATS GOING ON AND KEEPS PRESCRIBING MEDS . OF THE SAME KINDS BUT DIFFERENT NAMES. I DONT TAKE ANYTHING ANYMORE WITHOUT LOOKING IT UP . I SEE A NEUROLOGIST THIS MONDAY AND I HOPE THIS DOC., WILL AT LEAST PERSISTANT IN FINDING A RELEIF TO MY BRAIN EXPLOSIONS.. THANK YOU  ALL FOR BEING A SUPPORT....

Hey Karen Stabbing pain... you sound like you are from a tribe... Welcome to our tribe... Honey I dont know if this was said to you yet print up some stuff from this site and give it to your docs... they hate when we diagnose ourselves but>>>>>> tough!!! too bad for them.  Good Luck...........oooooooo and go down to the other duplicate post and remove it theres a little remove button for when we mess up like that...
