Title: just another poll... Post by Melissa on Jul 26th, 2003, 11:00am how many of you had numerous ear infections as children? edited to add: I had tons of them when I was little. My mom took me in for many hearing tests because the doctors thought I was going deaf from them. What's funny is, I have very acute, sensitive hearing now. :-/ |

But I have never had mumps! And I have had my Tonsils out when I was very young. I was also side swiped my a car getting off a school bus. I knew I should have walked to school that day, but the snow drifts were up to my head and it was 10 miles to school one way. Glad I was lucky eonugh to get back up and walk to the side of the road. My Mum saw the whole thing happen to me. Why today you can hardly see the door knob crease in my chest from that 1950 Studabaker............Maybe that's what caused my ch...............Anyone else ever get hit or own a Studabaker?LOL God Bless, TerryS |

That in itself is a terrible sentence to serve, especiallly when you are a small child. Breezy got ear infections and has somehow gotten it down to like one a year... Post by Edna on Jul 27th, 2003, 4:46pm Nope none that I recall here Georgia.........yuk.......with orange juice..........nasty My hearing is quite keen..........but think it's due to the fact of having such rotten vision..........yuk........Used to tell the kids when they were younger that I had magic ears.....think my husband even believed me......I'd hear things from another room that he wouldn't hear even if he were sitting in front of it. |

I was curious to see if there was any correlation between CH's and ear infections, but it seems there is not. But tonsilitis was the true bane of my childhood (and my Mom's). I was allergic to corn and eggs as a kid ... guess what almost every form of candy contains? Corn syrup and egg white solids! My dear sainted mother knew everytime I had some candy because I would come down with tonsilitis within about 1-2 days of eating any ... we both had to stay home. ::) |
