Title: Newbie needs support!
Post by vicky on Jul 22nd, 2003, 5:56am
Hi :)

After reading some info in a magazine I have a suspision that the 'migraines' I have been suffering from are not infact migraines :-/

They last for 3 - 4 days. Pain always on right side of head, right side of nose/sinus gets blocked/painful, nausea, cant lay down or keep still, feel like banging my head on something very hard (though have resisted this temptation so far ::)) Generally feel ill/rough.

I have tried migraine tablets/every painkiller under the sun.....none work :-/

It would be great to be in contact with people who suffer the same :)

Would very much appreciate it if anyone could give advice/support :)

Thanks :)

Vicky there is a cluster quiz you can take.  At the left of the screen 4th button down click the button and take the quiz.  Take the info you get from the button and get an appointment with a neuro!

You may have CH, or it may be one of others that mimic it, but either way you need to see a neuro to get a proper diagnosis and proper treatment :)

Welcome aboard :)

Even though it does point to CH the quiz is only a guide. The only person who can diagnose you properly is a doctor.  (modified my answer cause I am sleep deprived and misread your answer, sorry about that :) )

You need to get in and see a neuro.  There are other things that mimic CH, such as PH (paroxismal hemicrania), SUNCT, HC (hemacrania something) LOL.

I know the initials but right now spelling and remembering thier full names is beyond me.

In order to get proper treatment you need that doc though :)

In the mean time, pull up a chair and sit down and enjoy the scenery :)

If you don't have CH, and for your sake I hope you don't, we can help you find resources for what they tell you do have, and if you do have CH, then you are already home :)
