It's not common with me.  Mine are always on one side.

I have read that the sides will switch in some cases.

Right handed.  Always on the right side for the past 12 years.

I always have my CH's on the left side EXCEPT for one cycle in 1998.
Switching sides during a cycle, I believe, is unheard of.
I know, I know. Never end a sentence with a preposition.

Actually, it's not unheard of. It's been documented in the literature. It's not common though.
My attacks switch sides too, although I'm chronic and don't have the same type of cycles as episodics. But I'll get hit on the left side for a number of months/years and then it'll switch to the right side.
As far as not ending a sentence with a preposition, Winston Churchill once said something like "Ending a sentence with a preposition is something up with which I will not put."

Has no medical significance. I went through this for about 5 to 7 years before settling down to one site all the time.

Wes's have switched sides twice in the last 5 years...but only for 1 attack at the very end of a cycle.

Mine have only switched to the left side for a couple of cycles in the last 13 years. Those times have had the onset of the cycle start on the left & stay there (normally mine are right sided) I've never had them switch sides within a single cycle ... your mileage may vary.

Take care

Hopeful, you have a lot of good questions. Many of them have been asked before so if you want a lot more info you might also want to try using the search button at the top of this page. Or on the left of it (two different searches are available with much different results).
