Yep! I choose to live here. The weather does get a little warm but

here we have

no tornados

no hurricanes

no mosquitoes

no blizzards

no rivers overflowing

no humidity

no snow plows

no snow tires

no snow blowers

don't have to buy flood insurance

no "winter" clothes, just all-year-round-clothes.

BOB-
Back the truck up, Maynard....if you get more than 5 mins of rain in Lost Wages, the streets flood for days!! :o You sure you want to ask for that?  ::)After all, you COULD get the Oregon rains.........where would it all go?? I admit, 121 is hot even for LV, but........RAIN? ARE ya suuure??? BTW- and OR is enjoying another perfectly marvelous 80 degree day.......ahhhhhhhhh!!! 8)

Jonny- I might be totally out of the loop, but what IS the big dig? Ya got dinosaur bones, or what? I was raised in LA- spent a lot of the "formulative years" visiting the tar pits.......ugh! What BIG is being DUG in Boston?  ::) ???

Cathi,

You should check where your tax dollars are going if they are taking them from you, the big dig is THE biggest undergrond project in the US to date, it was suppose to cost 3 billion dollars (That was 15 yrs ago) now its up to 16 billion and everyone in the country is paying for it....EVERY taxpayer.

You will never use it but your paying plenty for contractors in this area to ride out the ressesion.

See, I KNEW it Jonny,, not only am I out of the loop.....the rope they used is all in a kink!! Is this an underground trans system?
You're right, I'll likely never use it, but now, everytime I write a check for taxes......I'll grind my teeth down just a bit more.......maybe I could grind em into points, and bite politicians........yeah! I like it!!
t'anks for enlightening me Jonny......246!

Don- First you thank me........

then you tell me to send $$.........

so, my answer must be:
        You're welcome ;D
                                     and
      Bite me!! :P

Respectfully submitted.....cos I know you're the Prez here......

Cathi who still hasn't gotten a straight answer about the BIG DIG!!

Title: Re: Rain please

The big dig is an underground and underwater transportation system in Boston. It eliminates all of the above ground surface highway system.

It is also rife with fraud and cost over runs.

Tolls have been raised from $1.00 to $3500.00 each way.

It is considered to be an engineering marvel.

Now Cathi, we need one more tunnel. Send money.
Its for a good cause. It will cut off 2.473 minutes of my commute time. About another 1.3 billion ought to do it. Cash only please, unmarked bills.
