Time to put up or shut up.

I will personally nominate you for president of OUCH in the next election if you choose to accept.

Lets see what you can do beyond criticise.

Still waiting frank.

For someone so quick to accuse, blame and criticise your pretty slow when asked to step to the plate.

Cootie, I THINK it's Frank Ford?  He's maybe created another identity?  I thought it was kinda humourous seeing him say 'female' in his profile.

If this IS our Frank Ford, I can vouch for the fact that he is a very nice man.  He has a lot of hurdles in his life and he IS a clusterhead who's been here a long time.  I had to agree with him about that thread of Gene's actually - (well maybe not about the OUCH part) - but it really was sad to watch Gene implode there.  I know, I know, he kinda did it to himself.  I try to put myself in other folks' place a  lot of the time, though.  I don't feel it's our place to judge anyone - that comes later, from...The Boss.

Imagine: walking into a room of strangers and having a whack of them start yacking at you all at once, some of them immediately criticizing you and you not knowing the lay of the land or what the "rules" are for titling your conversations.  ::) ** I would think that WOULD be pretty intimidating and human instinct is to fight or flee in a situation of high stress.  Gene obviously took both options.  What's very sad (and what Frank pointed out, rather crustily maybe, but it IS a valid point) is that a clusterhead has just left us (or allowed himself to be chased away, whichever you prefer), and is alone again with his head.  :(

**  personally, I did agree that the titling of Gene's post was somewhat Dr. Seuss reminiscent (i.e.  Horton Hears a Hoo) but, come on folks...in the grand scheme of things?  I'd give that one about a 1.25 out of 100 on the stress meter.

I still think that Gene guy tried to hard to 'get the right answer' or else......the 'NOPE wrong answer game'.....or pat me on the back deal.....sorta brought certain people to the defense....defeated the purpose of makeing freinds and gettin answers. Maybe he jus brought the worse out in everbody I dunno. Seems ta me ya ask a question ya politely wait for answers or bring it up again if need be....don't reply with attacks to reply'rs or non reply'rs and lecture......need ta add a dash of 'give n take' that's all. This is a real life MB.....no bones about it. Fit in.....don't walk in with a push and shove attitude cuz it won't fly. Live and learn defensive Pam  (no offense to anyone).....Hi Frank  :)

I did not participate in the threads in question, however when I compare, what made Geno run away, to my initiation on this board, what comes to mind is the quote from “Crocodile Dundee”…(paraphrased) “Flame?….that’s not a flame…THIS, IS A FLAME!!!”.

I realize now, that to succeed on this board, you have to kiss SommelierCH’s a$$. If all the newbies would just realize this one fact, it would make it so much easier for them to be accepted.

If gene left the board, he ran himself off... But I wouldn't be surprised if we see him posting again eventually.  I think he'll do like alot of the new people... He'll learn from his mistakes, probably read the posts for a while, and come back when he has his sealegs.  Hell... Most people will prolly just forget about all this shit (if the thread ever gets to drop anyways).  I don't see where he did anything so wrong that people won't let him live it down... Especially if the only problem people have with him is his habit of talking about himself in the third person.

In the end, it's up to gene if he stays or goes, as it is with everybody else, and the finger pointing ain't going to change that.

PFDAN................................. Drk^Angel
