Title: And..another "just curious" survey Post by Donna on Jun 19th, 2003, 2:53pm What about low birth weight? Maybe the hypothalamus isn't fully developed in underweight babies, which causes us to have problems with it. I weighed in at 6 lbs. 0 ozs. |

Title: Re: And..another "just curious" survey Post by BobG on Jun 19th, 2003, 3:06pm I have 2 brothers, one older and one younger. We were all above 8 lbs. at birth. The older brother has a lot of allergies. The younger and I have none. The younger brother has gout. The older and I do not. The older brother is almost bald. The younger and I are not. The younger brother a lot fatter than the older and me. The younger brother and I both smoke. The older never has. I used to drink too much. My brothers don't and never did. I get cluster headaches and they don't. I think we were all potty trained to young. ;D |

Title: Re: And..another "just curious" survey Post by Margi on Jun 19th, 2003, 3:08pm ah-HA, BobG - I think you might have stumbled onto something..... how many of you are MIDDLE children? Mike is. (His mom didn't and never has smoked, and I believe his birth weight was normal.) But a couple of other clusterheads I know are middle children.... leave no rock unturned. |

Title: Re: And..another "just curious" survey Post by BobG on Jun 19th, 2003, 3:17pm Being in the middle was tough. My older brother is 2 years older than me. I always got his hand-me-downs, clothes, toys, etc. He was quiet and a good student. I wasn't. I always got the "Why can't you be more like your older brother?" The younger brother is 11 years younger than me. He got everything new and by the time he was in school there was no older brother to compare him with. Life just ain't fair for us middle-siblings. :'( |

Title: Re: And..another "just curious" survey Post by catlind on Jun 19th, 2003, 5:24pm I was 8lb 6oz and was the youngest of two. and considering the weights are mostly for folks that were born 20 odd years ago, anything over 6 lbs back then was considered a big baby. How many of us were raised in cloth diapers though? (something in the soap?) Could be something to be said for disposables after all ;) Cat |
