my mother is probably my biggest leaning post. she has prayed with me to make the beast back down when he is knocking on my door. this time she needs my prayer. she has had 3 abdominal surgery since may 6th. it looks like she will have to hve another. she is at the end of her rope spiritually, emotionally, and physically. she is blaming herself for my last cycle being a killer. i have to pack her adominal wound 3 times a day, and she cries sometimes it hurts so bad.
the story of the surgery.
she had cancer when i was a teenager. she fought the uteran cancer with radiation, and cobalt implant. well it damaged her body teribbly. her vaginal cannal sealed shut, and she has since had it rebuilt. the radiation burned her bowel and bladder, to the point that it lost its elasticity. there was no way to rebuild her bladder, so they had to remove it. she had several ab. surgeries from hernieas, and they had to apply mesh to cover the weak spot left from radiation damage. now the mesh is keeping her insicion from healing. they are going to have to go back in and clean out the mesh AGAIN. she has been off of work since the first of may, and she has no income. she just remarrie to a wonderful man on newyears eve of 2002. it is stressing them, but he is tough, and he is by her side no matter what. they both need your prayers. please.

Pinky sorry to hear about your mom......consider the prayers you ask for done and wishing her the best in her recovery.

I'm so sorry to hear about what your mother is going through. My father is going through an almost identical situation (cancer, damage from radiation). I know it isn't easy. Its tearing me apart inside just like it was when I was seeing the effect on our family a year ago during dad's first 'go-around'.

I can only say I hope everything works out for your mom.

It is things like this that put everything else into perspective.

great news from the doctor today. my mom seen him in his office, and he clipped out some of the mesh. my mother said it hurt beyond imagination, but it spared her another surgery for now. thank you too all for your prayers. i seen my mother smile for the first time today in a very long time. again, THANKS TO ALL

My wife and I just prayed for all three of you, and will continue. Please keep us posted. Glad she doesn't have to have another surgery.
