Them's nice hostas you got there, and all..........but here in Eastern Pa, where we were _downwind_ of Three Mile Island when they kinda had that little Meltdown problem.....we've been growing some pretty big plants ourselves......

OKOK JONNYS HOSTA HAS A MORE DECORATIVE BORDER AROUND IT We are just back from moving my Mom in Law 10 hours of moving stress~~~ thanks for the laughs... after all the rain we looked out in the yard today and when I saw the Hosta I remembered jonny braggin about his hosta last year... Ours are huge about 7 years old jonny... Wow! Your hostas are the biggest I've ever seen outside of a botanical garden. They are so beautiful! My little yard is so shady hostas are about all that will grow, but mine sure don't look that nice. Kudos for your Forest Green thumbs!

Duhhhhhhhhh this Bostonian knew exactly what you meant... i guess we dont have snails in that part of the yard but is that what is eating the ones around the pool... and I notice that they eat the varigated ones but not the green ones......hmmmmmmmmm something else to ponder... another pleasant moment from "Ree rees garden"

I have hosta too, but nothing that large.

My largest one is probably about 2 1/2 feet tall.

So what's the scoop?

I'm guessing you pour the beer on the ground which causes the snails to get drunk. Then they get pissy with one another over a territory squable and end up picking up little pieces of dirt and stone each other to death.

Whao...hosta tell ya yer turtle quit movein Ree.....it was in the shell and didn't come out..I jus sat here starein at it till it popped out but it took a while.....guess maybe my pooter was jus runnin slow...and it isn't jus me !!! Hosta laveesta baby...hosta go....hosta a couple beers and hosta bit of a buzz. Hosta shud dup now Pam ;)
