A meeting is being called on Saturday, October 11, 2003 in Englewood, Florida for the purpose of a social gathering ,and the discussion of the organization of a Florida Chapter of OUCH.

This get-together is not exclusive to Floridians. The social gathering is open to all. We had one in April, 2001 and had a great time. Some stayed for a week as a vacation. Accomodations (fully furnished cond's) are inexpensive and are right on the beach (Gulf of Mexico). These can be shared quite comfortable. Reservations must be made early.

The business meeting will be held earlier in the day.

hell yeah, that's a great day (it just happens to be MY birthday! And Karen's hubby, Will, it's his birthday too! And Terry S is right around there, Paco too!)

I'd go just to find out just exactly what "fully furnished cond's" are...... :P

That's the only way I am going to get to meet you within the next year and I want to meet a real TS! All you need to bring if staying in a "furnished condo" are your clothes and tooth brush.

Andy, I'm glad you're still interested, and Barb is most likely too. I'll be asking for your help. How much time would it take you to get to Englewood?

If I hear from a few people, I'm going to ask my hospital if we can use a meeting room........post invites to the docs and notify the local Herald Tribune. Announcements are free if for "causes". Maybe even get a reporter involved. I've been wanting to do this for years. That's why it's so important for people to step up early enough and say they are coming.......and mean it.

We all want a cure. We all need to get fired up and make some noise.

Donna, thats a great idea. Ive never been to your part of florida, im on the east coast. So i guess im a few hours away from you. Anything i can do to help... ...........andy
