New at this site..............concerend about my sister. I have a few questions. She is currently on Prednisone . Has anyone had success with this?

For me, it seems to be working. This is my first time on it, and I have not noticed any major side effects. As long as the dose is high enough, it stops the attacks. Keep an eye on her when her dossage tapers though; the headaches might return.

I am having success with Prednisone right now. Headaches are more frequent but WAY less intense. And it's getting better. Good luck to you and your sister.

Started Prednisone on Wednesday. Only had a few minor events and wacked them with Imitrex nasal spray. I prey that this kills cycle.

Good luck to your sister. Prednisone may or may not break up a cycle. Three years ago it completely broke up my first cycle I ever had. I tried it this time and while I had one or two nights with no pain it didn't break the cycle although I even upped the dosage and tapered down from higher up. I hope it works for your sis, when it works it works well.

Well at first the prednisone work for my hubby. Last time around though he was on 80 mg & still ddin't stop them.

Lots of weight gain if you have to be on for a long time. My husband was on for over a year & gained 65 lbs. Also he has been having pain in his hips. They say this could be caused from the prednisone.

... Prednisone is fan-fuckin'-tastic... that's what I was put on during my last cycle...

... thing is, I couldn't take it for more than a week or so.. and then you get the headburn again...
